I don’t think that this negates the clear declaration of an individuals right to own and bear arms.

…n the USA, the Second Amendment is often cited as a reason why gun rights should not be restricted. However, this argument ignores the fact that the Second Amendment was written at a very different time when the idea of a standing army was still new. In Canada, gun control is seen as a necessary measure to prevent tragedies.

I don’t think that this negates the clear declaration of an individuals right to own and bear arms. Even if this is true, what is the implication? Throw it all out? Seems dramatically flawed.
