I think your observation of Iran’s extreme policies is sound, and serves as a cautionary tale as to how dangerous the extreme can be, and how it can actually worsen the thing it pretends to protect against, however, I cannot agree to the vast leap that “therefore any sort of modesty standard to women is just as bad and is basically rape”. That is an absurd conclusion to a tragic case.
