Thank you for your testimony, I thoroughly enjoyed it. But I don’t think Islam’s negative perception cannot be stated without the understanding that most peoples first exposure was because of 9/11. While they are indeed not representative of Islam, they became a face. Couple that with Muslim reaction to that event, some very helpful by condemning and trying to clear up the confusion; and some were quietly happy about the attack. That started Islam on the wrong foot.
It is posts like these, and we need many more, that reverse the trend and help create a better, more accurate representation of Islam. Thank you brother.
